Gregg Wallace (born 1964) is a writer, media presenter and former greengrocer. He is probably best known for co-presenting MasterChef, Celebrity MasterChef and MasterChef: The Professionals on BBC2 and BBC1 along with John Torode, where he is referred to as an "ingredients expert". Wallace was born in Peckham and began his career selling vegetables at a stand in Covent Garden. He started George Allan’s Greengrocers in 1989, a company that built up to an eventual turnover of £7. <a href="https://
