Hal David (born May 25, 1921 in New York City, New York; died September 1, 2012) was an American lyricist and songwriter. His elder brother, Mack David, was also a lyricist and songwriter. Hal David is best-remembered for his words and music that were written along with musician, composer and singer, Burt Bacharach.
