Igor Ozim (born 1931) began his violin studies with Leon Pfeifer in Ljubljana. Before entering the Academy of Music, he was also studying the piano and finished classical secondary school in Ljubljana. On a scholarship from the British Council, he continued his studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London with Max Rostal. In 1951 he won the Carl Flesch Violin Competition, and in 1953 the ARD International Music Competition in Munich. As an internationally acclaimed concert violinist <a href="
