Born in 1958 in Glendale, California. Raised in Palo Alto, California. B.A. in Anthropology, 1979, at the University of Californaia at Berkeley with Phi Beta Kappa honors. Studied painting at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. Painted over 500 background scenes for the animated film, Fire and Ice, 1983.
