== Etymology == The name "Lamphelpat" (/ləm.pʰel.pát/) is made up of two Meitei language words, "Lamphel" () and "Pāt" (). "Lamphel" (/ləm.pʰel/) is the Meitei name of a place in Imphal. "Pāt" (/pát/) means lake in Meitei.
