ledburytowncouncil.gov.uk →We have revised our Neighbourhood Development Plan to ensure future growth is in the community’s interests. Ledbury already had a Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) which was adopted in 2019, but we needed to strengthen it to include a settlement boundary and to update existing policies. We needed to sustainably manage Ledbury's growth by stating what kind of growth we want, and we needed to protect and enhance existing natural and built resources whilst making space for new developments. In December 2022 the final version of the revised NDP was produced after Herefordshire Council had run a last consultation exercise (Regulation 16) between September and November 2022. In January 2023 the NDP was Examined by an Independent Inspector to ensure it conformed with national and local planning policy and it passed with flying colours, needing only a few minor amendments. The final stage before adoption is the referendum in the parish, which will take place on 4th May 2023, with ultimate adoption expected in June 2023.

Ledbury is a market town and civil parish in the county of Herefordshire, England, lying east of Hereford, and west of the Malvern Hills.
It has a significant number of Tudor-style timber-framed structures, in particular along Church Lane and High Street. One of the most outstanding is Ledbury Market Hall, built in 1617, located in the town centre. Other notable buildings include the parish church of St. Michael and All Angels, the Painted Room (containing sixteenth-century frescoes), the Old Grammar School, the Barrett-Browning memorial clock tower (designed by Brightwen Binyon and opened in 1896 to house the library until 2015), nearby Eastnor Castle and the St. Katherine's Hospital site. Founded , this is a rare surviving example of a hospital complex, with hall, chapel, a Master's House (fully restored and opened in March 2015 to house the Library), almshouses and a timber-framed barn.
