Lenine, born in Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil, is a singer, composer, arranger, musician and producer. His compositions combine Brazilian popular music with the rhythm of northeast Brazil over a base of rock, pop and electronica. Lenine specially enjoyed listening to rock all through his teens, until he discovered the album "Clube da Esquina", by Milton Nascimento, and saw Gilberto Gil performing.
