==Etymology== The word Linobambaki comes from Greek , which derives from the combination of the words (lino) "linen" and (vamvaki) "cotton". The term was used as a metaphor in order to demonstrate that even though they had Latin Catholic origins, they chose to appear outwardly Muslim.
