Madison is a city in Madison and St. Clair counties in the U.S. state of Illinois. It is also a suburb of Greater St. Louis. The population was 3,171 at the 2020 census, down from 3,891 in 2010. It is home to World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway and the first Bulgarian Orthodox church in the United States.
