Michael Appleton (Salford, Inglaterra, Reino Unido; 4 de diciembre de 1975) es un exfutbolista y entrenador inglés. Es el entrenador del Blackpool desde 2022. Como futbolista, se desempeñó como centrocampista. Formado en las inferiores del Manchester United, en su carrera disputó dos temporadas de por el West Bromwich Albion y una con el Preston North End. Su carrera como profesional terminó en 2003, marcada por serias lesiones. Tras su retiro, comenzó su carrera como entrenador en West Bromwich. Fue entrenador interino del club en 2011 luego de la salida de Roberto Di Matteo.
