Michael Shuman is an American rock musician, best known as the new bass guitarist for hard rock band Queens of the Stone Age. He graduated from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, CA. Shuman also plays bass for Wires On Fire on Buddyhead Records. One of his nicknames is Mikey Shoes. Josh Homme is quoted as saying that he told Shuman "playing in Queens [of the Stone Age] is about 'performance' and 'blood'."
