Michael Steele is a bass guitarist whose career started with the band called "The Runaways" in 1977 (with Joan Jett and Sandy West). She later joined The Bangles in the early 1980's. Following the breakup of The Bangles, she retreated into her own world. Early in the 1990's, she spent time writing songs with the intent of opening a solo career.
