Midland is a town in Allegany County, Maryland, United States, along the Georges Creek Valley. It is part of the Cumberland, MD-WV Metropolitan Statistical Area. As of the 2020 census, Midland had a population of 488. Midland was founded in 1850 as a coal-mining community, though today only some strip mining remains.
