Die Band wurde als Nebenprojekt unter dem Namen Elements von dem ehemaligen Fellsilent-Gitarristen John Browne und Josh Travis (damals noch bei The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza) gegründet und gilt neben Periphery und TesseracT als einer der größten Vertreter der Djent-Szene.
