Ottoline Leyser

Ottoline Leyser is a British botanist, physiologist, and university teacher born in England in 1965. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy and has taught at the University of Cambridge, the University of York, and Indiana University. Her academic work focuses on developmental biology, and she is recognized in the Royal Society collection.

Leyser is a member of the National Academy of Sciences, the European Molecular Biology Organization, the German Academy of Sciences Leopoldina, and the Royal Society. Her notable works include *Auxin Signaling* and *Mechanisms in plant development*. She has received the Rosalind Franklin Award, the Croonian Medal and Lecture, and was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire. She is also a Fellow of the Royal Society.
