Overprotected è il secondo singolo, registrato l'8 dicembre 2001, estratto dall'album Britney della cantante Britney Spears del 2001. È necessario precisare però che si tratta del secondo estratto solo per il mercato europeo, mentre per quello americano è stato il terzo, prodotto da Max Martin e Rami. Oltretutto non è stato pubblicato in America nella sua versione originale, ma nella "Darkchild Remix". Nel 2003 questa canzone ha fatto ricevere alla Spears una nomination ai Grammy come miglior performance pop femminile, poi vinto però da Norah Jones con Don't Know Why. Il singolo ha tuttavia ottenuto un disco d'argento in Francia, un disco di oro in Australia ed un altro in Svezia. Venne nominato ai Grammy Awards nella categoria “Best Female Pop Vocal Performance”.
