Packera

Its members were previously included in the genus Senecio (where they were called aureoid senecios by Asa Gray) but were moved to genus Packera based on chromosome numbers, a variety of morphological characters, and molecular phylogenetic evidence.

Packera es un género de plantas fanerógamas perteneciente a la familia de las asteráceas. Comprende 85 especies descritas y de estas, solo 10 aceptadas. Sus miembros fueron previamente incluidos en el género Senecio, pero se dividieron a partir de sus números de cromosomas, la variedad de características morfológicas y la filogenia molecular.
