Peter K. Vogt

Peter Klaus Vogt is an American molecular biologist, virologist, geneticist, and university teacher. Born in Broumov in 1932, he holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree and was educated at the University of Tübingen and the University of Würzburg. He writes and speaks in English.

Vogt has been employed by the University of Southern California, the University of Washington, the University of Colorado Denver, and Scripps Research. He is a member of the German Academy of Sciences Leopoldina, the National Academy of Sciences, and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He has received the Charles S. Mott Prize and the Louisa Gross Horwitz Prize.
