Peter Lehel (* September 13, 1965 in Karlsruhe) is a German jazz musician (tenor saxophone, clarinet, flute) and composer. Lehel began playing the saxophone at the age of twelve. Between 1988 and 1996 he studied jazz and popular music at the music academies in Stuttgart and Budapest. He leads his own formations such as the Peter Lehel Quartet and since 1993 has been a member of the Pipes & Phones groups with the Stuttgart organist and composer Peter Schindler and the popular South Korean band Sa
