Air The closest major airport is St. John’s International Airport, located about 1.5 hours from Placentia in St. John’s. Sea Visitors can take the Marine Atlantic ferry from North Sydney, Nova Scotia to Argentia, Newfoundland and Labrador during the seasonal service. Argentia is located just 10 minutes from Placentia, making it one of the most convenient ways to reach the area. Land Placentia is connected by Route 100 (Newfoundland and Labrador), which links the community to the Trans-Canada Highway, making travel by car simple and scenic.
