费利克斯·瓦洛东

Félix Édouard Vallotton (1865–1925) was a Swiss and French painter, sculptor, art critic, and xylographer. Born in Lausanne, he was educated at the Académie Julian. His artistic output included works in the genres of portrait, landscape, genre, and mythological painting. Notable works include *Étude de fesses*, *The Abduction of Europa*, and *The White and the Black*.

Vallotton was associated with the Les Nabis, Impressionism, Symbolism, and Post-impressionism movements. He spoke French. His works are held in the collections of the Städel Museum, Minneapolis Institute of Art, Art Institute of Chicago, and The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. He died of cancer in Neuilly-sur-Seine, Paris, and is buried in Montparnasse Cemetery.
