Rex Smith is an American singer and actor who gained fame through his lead role in the 1979 NBC television movie Sooner or Later. The soundtrack album of the same name features pop and rock songs performed by Smith in the film. The single "You Take My Breath Away," written by Bobby Hart and Stephen Lawrence, reached number ten on the US pop charts and was certified gold.
