Richard Blundell

Richard Blundell is a British economist and university teacher born in Shoreham-by-Sea in 1952. He works in the fields of economics, econometrics, microeconomics, and consumer behavior. Blundell is employed by University College London and has served as a doctoral supervisor for Nicholas Bloom and John Van Reenen. He speaks English and holds citizenship in the United Kingdom.

His academic affiliations include membership in the Academia Europaea, the British Academy, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and the National Academy of Sciences. He was educated at the University of Bristol and the London School of Economics and Political Science. Blundell has received several awards, including the Commander of the Order of the British Empire, the Yrjö Jahnsson Award, the Erwin Plein Nemmers Prize in Economics, and the Frisch Medal.
