==History== ===Hebrew Bible=== In 1883 the PEF's Survey of Western Palestine identified Salbit with Shaalabbin (Biblical Hebrew: Šʽlbyn/*Šʽlbyt), which was located northwest of biblical Aijalon (modern day Yalo).
