Un polimero a memoria di forma (abbreviato in SMP, dall'inglese shape-memory polymer) è un materiale intelligente polimerico che ha la capacità di ritornare da uno stato deformato (forma temporanea, metastabile) alla sua forma originale (permanente, stabile) a seguito di uno stimolo esterno (o "innesco"), come ad esempio un cambiamento di temperatura.
