Silanus (Sardinian: Silanos) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Nuoro in the Italian region Sardinia, located about 120 kilometres (75 mi) north of Cagliari and about 40 kilometres (25 mi) west of Nuoro. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,346 and an area of 48.1 square kilometres (18.6 mi).
