Die Singel (vgl. deutsch „Zingel“) ist ein mittelalterlicher Festungsgraben in Amsterdam, der bis Ende des 16. Jahrhunderts die Stadt im Westen begrenzte und von dem IJ zur Muntplein verläuft, wo sie in die Amstel mündet. Sie ist zusammen mit dem Kloveniersburgwal die innerste und älteste Gracht des Amsterdamer Grachtengürtels und umschließt den Kern des alten Amsterdam, die heutige Innenstadt.
