6.5Kate and Charlie like to have a good time. Their marriage thrives on a shared fondness for music, laughter… and getting smashed. When Kate’s partying spirals into hard-core asocial behavior, compromising her job as an elementary schoolteacher, something’s got to give. But change isn’t exactly a cakewalk. Sobriety means she will have to confront the lies she’s been spinning at work, her troubling relationship with her mother, and the nature of her bond with Charlie.

Wyjść na prostą (tytuł oryg. Smashed) − amerykański film fabularny z 2012 roku, napisany przez i oraz wyreżyserowany przez samego Ponsoldta. W filmie w rolach głównych wystąpili Mary Elizabeth Winstead oraz Aaron Paul. Fabuła projektu skupia się na losach pary alkoholików, nauczycielki Kate i jej męża Charliego. Kate, chcąc zerwać z uzależnieniem, zaczyna uczęszczać na spotkania AA. Światowa premiera obrazu odbyła się 22 stycznia 2012 podczas Sundance Film Festival. 14 grudnia tego roku nastąpiła premiera komercyjna dzieła. W Polsce film prezentowany był widzom Międzynarodowego Festiwalu Kina Niezależnego Off Plus Camera w połowie kwietnia 2013; miesiąc później, 15 maja, ukazał się na rynku DVD, dystrybuowany przez Imperial − Cinepix. Film uzyskał nominacje do dziesięciu prestiżowych nagród; jedną z nich zwyciężył. Zebrał także pozytywne recenzje krytyków.
