Steve Hewitt (born 22 March 1971) was the drummer for the band Placebo between mid-1996 and October 2007. He was born in Northwich, Cheshire, England. Prior to joining Placebo, Hewitt was a member of various bands such as Electric Crayons, K-Klass, The Mystic Deckchairs, Boo Radleys and Breed. He also worked as a session musician.[citation needed] He met band member Brian Molko through his then-girlfriend. Although he appeared on some early demo tapes for Placebo, he wasn't able to join the ban
