Thom Mayne

Thom Mayne, born on 19 January 1944 in Waterbury, is an American architect and university teacher. He was educated at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, Harvard University, the University of Southern California, and the Southern California Institute of Architecture. He has been employed by California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and Columbia University, and is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the American Academy of Arts and Letters. His works are held in the collections of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Art Institute of Chicago.

He received the Pritzker Architecture Prize and is recognised in both the American Academy of Arts and Sciences collection and the Pritzker Prize collection.
