Tiger Woods

Tiger Woods, born Eldrick Tont Woods on December 30, 1975, in Cypress, is an American professional golfer and writer. He holds United States citizenship and is of African American and Thai American descent. Woods was educated at Stanford University and resides in Windermere, Jupiter Island, and Orange County. He is married to Elin Nordegren and follows Buddhism.

Throughout his career, Woods has received numerous accolades, including the Sports Illustrated Sportsperson of the Year, the Laureus World Sports Award for Sportsman of the Year, the BBC World Sport Star of the Year, and induction into the California Hall of Fame. He has also been nominated for the Laureus World Sports Award for Comeback of the Year. As an author, he has published eleven works, including *How I Play Golf* and *Tiger Woods and the 1997 Masters*.
