Tom Fowler (born Thomas W. Fowler in Salt Lake City, Utah, on 10 June 1951; died 2 July 2024) was an American bass guitarist and musician remembered for playing with It's a Beautiful Day, Frank Zappa, The Mothers of Invention, Jean-Luc Ponty, Ray Charles, Steve Hackett, and many others. H started playing the violin at age 6, before picking up the upright bass, and finally electric bass at age 16.
