Varaton
Sign in to saveWaratto (died 686) was the mayor of the palace of Neustria and Burgundy on two occasions, between his son's usurpation. His first term lasted from 680 or 681 (after the death of Ebroin) to 682, when his son Gistemar (or Ghislemar) deposed him and took office. However, Waratto soon reestablished himself and continued to reign until his death in 684 or 686. He made peace between the three Frankish kingdoms and with Pepin of Heristal in 681. His daughter Anstrude later married Duke Drogo of Champagne, Pepin's eldest son.

Varatão (também chamado Waratton, Waratto, ou Warato; m. 686) foi o prefeito dos palácios da Nêustria e da Borgonha por duas ocasiões. O primeiro mandato durou de (680/681-682), quando da morte de Ebroíno, em 682. O segundo mando ocorreu com a deposição de seu filho Gistemário (ou Ghislemar) em 683-686)) e ele pode reassumir o cargo até sua morte. Ele celebrou a paz entre os três reinos Francos em 681 com Pepino II. Casou sua filha com Bertário, mordomo da Nêustria e depois com o filho mais velho de Pepino, o Duque Drogo, Mordomo da Austrásia e da Borgonha.
