Een wiki (aanvankelijk ook WikiWiki) is een verzameling interactieve hypertekstdocumenten die in een browser programma aangemaakt en bewerkt kunnen worden door middel van een bepaald type software. Kenmerkend aan de software is, dat op het internet of een intranet gepubliceerde webdocumenten door meerdere personen zonder programmeerkennis, kunnen worden bewerkt en gepubliceerd. Zowel het resultaat, als de software worden wiki genoemd, afgeleid van de Hawaïaanse uitdrukking wiki wiki, dat 'snel, vlug, beweeglijk' betekent. De gebruiksmogelijkheid, de software en de naam zijn afkomstig van Ward Cunningham. De eerste wiki was de Portland Repository Pattern website, bekende voorbeelden van wiki's zijn Wikipedia, Catawiki en Wikia.
