William Mellor (born 3 April 1976, in Stockport, Greater Manchester) is an English actor and former pop star. He first came to the public's attention in 1990, when he played Ben Rowlingson in the children's programme Children's Ward. In 1995, he joined the cast of the soap opera Hollyoaks in which he played the role of James 'Jambo' Bolton. He left the show in 1998. Soon after, he released a single called "When I Need You", which reached number 5 in the British charts <a href="https://www.last.
