ویلیام اسکو مورنر

William E. Moerner is an American chemist, physicist, and university teacher born in Pleasanton in 1953. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy and has worked at Stanford University, the University of California, San Diego, and ETH Zurich. His primary field of work is physics, and he resides in San Antonio.

Moerner has received the Nobel Prize in Chemistry, the Wolf Prize in Chemistry, and the Irving Langmuir Award in Chemical Physics. He is a member of the National Academy of Sciences, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the American Physical Society, and the American Association for the Advancement of Science. He was educated at Washington University in St. Louis and Cornell University.
