Woincourt

Woincourt () is a commune in the Somme department in Hauts-de-France in northern France. Since 13 February 2020, the commune has been a part of the newly created regional natural park of Baie de Somme - Picardie maritime.

==Toponymy== Since 1100, the latinized form of Dominica curtis was listed in The Miracles of Saint Angilbert. The name "Waincort" appeared in a 1223 cartulary of Fouilloy, Somme. A 1301 pouillé, a type of ecclesiastical enumeration of a given geographical area, listed the name of the village as "Waincourt". "Wincourt" was cited in 1468, and finally local custom demonstrates use of "Woincourt" beginning in 1507.
