Die Russische Kolonie wurde 1826 bis 1827 auf Wunsch Friedrich Wilhelm III. zum Gedenken an seinen verstorbenen Freund Zar Alexander I angelegt. Heute beherbergt Haus Nr. 2 ein kleines Museum. Wenige Meter weiter, im Haus Nr. 1. befindet sich ein russisches Restaurant.
