Johan Allan Edwall (25 August 1924 – 7 February 1997) was a Swedish actor, director, author, composer and singer, best-known outside Sweden for the small roles he played in some of Ingmar Bergman's films, such as Fanny and Alexander (1982). Allan Edwall (1924-1997), Swedish actor, director and song-writer from Jämtland. Edwall was an anarchist who wrote songs in a plump, folkly maner, with an obvious tone of leftwing-politics. His singing is a still half-talk, half melody thing, which breaks in the more "grandiouse" parts. His fatherly voice is accompanied by melancholic, classic, swedish folkmusic.
