András Mihály (* November 6 1917 in Budapest , † September 19 1993 ) was a Hungarian composer. Mihály studied at the Academy of Music in Budapest Leó Weiner , Pál Kadosa and Imre Waldbauer . From 1946 he was principal cellist at the Staatsoper, from 1950 he was professor of chamber music at the Music Academy.
