Australian Classification Board

Australian Classification is responsible for the classification of films, computer games and publications. The Classification Board makes classification decisions and provides advice about the content of films, computer games and certain publications to help you make informed choices about what you and your family watch, play and read. The Classification Review Board is a part-time, independent board which meets to review classification decisions made by the Classification Board when an application for review of a decision by the Classification Board has been lodged. The Classification Branch provides operational and policy advice on classification issues to the Minister and provides secretariat services to the Classification Board and the Classification Review Board. The National Classification Scheme is a cooperative arrangement between the Australian Government (the Commonwealth) and state and territory governments.
