Ballari district, formerly Bellary district ( Kannada: [bɐɭːaːri]), is one of the 31 districts in the south Indian state of Karnataka. It is located in the northeastern part of the state, and belongs to Kalyana-Karnataka region. This district was one of the biggest districts in Karnataka until the Vijayanagara district was carved out of Ballari district in 2021 officially.
