==History== During the Austria-Hungary occupation the Austrian Littoral was established. The littoral was officially the Trieste Province, one of the two provinces of the kingdom. The other being , . One of the two Provinces was subdivided into four districts: Gorizia, Eastern Istria and the Quarnero Islands, Trieste and Western Istria and Trieste city.
