Candi is het Indonesische woord voor tempel. De term omvat zowel de Boeddhistische en Hindoeïstische tempels. De meeste Indonesische tempels zijn gebouwd tussen de 8e en 15e eeuw. Ook niet-religieuze bouwwerken zoals poorten, ruïnes en baden worden wel met "candi" aangeduid.
