Anthropomorphism is the ascribing or attribution of human traits, emotions, or intentions to non-human entities, often particularly including animals. "Anthropomorphism" comes from two Greek words, ανθρωπος, anthrōpos, meaning human, and μορφη, morphē, meaning form.
