Cherifa Kersit was born in 1967 in Tazrut Mu Uxbu in the area of Khénifra. Cherifa started training her voice when she was a little girl looking after her herd. At sixteen she started singing at weddings and local festivals and events. ==Biography== Ouardia Bouchemlal was born on January 9, 1926, at Aït Halla, a small village located in the commune of El Main. Motherless, it is said she was under the tutelage of her uncles when her father remarried.
