There are four bands named Fancy. The most famous is Manfred Alois Segieth or Manfred Aulhausen. He started his career back in 1984 with his two successful singles Slice Me Nice and Chinese Eyes. In 1985 another hit song Bolero infected European countries uncontrollably (it was a top song in Spain for almost six months). For most of the next year (1986) Fancy was on the road, performing in European as well as US dance clubs. He really became famous with his 1987 album Flames Of Love. <a href="h

Quotes

  • Some things are of that nature as to makeOne's fancy chuckle, while his heart doth ache.
  • While fancy, like the finger of a clock,Runs the great circuit, and is still at home.
  • The difference is as great betweenThe optics seeing as the objects seen. All manners take a tincture from our own;Or come discolor'd through our passions shown;Or fancy's beam enlarges, multiplies,Contracts, inverts, and gives ten thousand dyes.
  • Pacing through the forest,Chewing the food of sweet and bitter fancy.
  • Tell me where is fancy bred,Or in the heart or in the head? How begot, how nourished? Reply, reply. It is engender'd in the eyes,With gazing fed; and fancy diesIn the cradle where it lies.
  • So full of shapes is fancy,That it alone is high fantastical.
