Guy Ritchie is a British film director, producer, screenwriter, and entrepreneur who began his professional career in 1995. Born in Hatfield, he is a citizen of the United Kingdom and works primarily in that country. His notable works include *Snatch*, *RocknRolla*, *Sherlock Holmes*, and *Aladdin*. He has also authored books such as *Lock, stock & two smoking barrels* and *Aladdin - Novel of the Movie*. Ritchie is a member of the Writers Guild of America, East, and his works are held in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art.

He has received Edgar Awards, as well as Golden Raspberry Awards for Worst Picture and Worst Director. Ritchie speaks English and Hebrew and practices judo. He has been married to Jacqui Ainsley and Madonna and has five children. His film genres include drama fiction and black comedy.
