Die Steinkuppe 806m im Südosten und der Drachenkopf 805m im Nordosten sind die dritt- und vierthöchsten Erhebungen im Landkreis Mittelsachsen. Durch den Ort führte die grenzüberschreitende Bahnstrecke Nossen–Moldau, die heute hier endet.
