Leovegildo Lins Gama JÚNIOR was one of the most talented midfielders in Brazilian football history. He played for Flamengo, Torino, Pescara and Brazilian national team. Known as a Carnival fan, Junior recorded some sambas in the 80's. His most successful song was "Voa Canarinho". Leovegildo Lins da Gama Júnior (born 29 June 1954), also known as Maestro Júnior, Léo Júnior or simply Júnior, is a Brazilian football pundit and retired footballer who played as a left back or midfielder.
He was nicknamed "Capacete" ("helmet", in Portuguese) because of his afro hairstyle.
